douche truck

NOT my submission. I actually have nothing to submit. I have this idea of redesigning buzz lightyear but i decided to sew instead :D
This is my early concept sketch. Douche trucks have very small truck beds, in fact they hold just as much as a regular trunk. This helps a douche out because douches usually don't use that much truck space. It has large tires because douchebags love large tires. I wanted to make a huge grill and octogonal head lights as well. I am working on making it more obnoxious, just a quick sketch for the day to make you laugh!

I'm sure most of you have looked at this site before but I just thought I would post it in case anyone hasn't seen it. Basically its a place where you can display your portfolio as well as look at other peoples for completely free. It's kinda inspirational cause most of these people are fairly beginner and doing the same types of projects as us. They post jobs too.... anyway, im done.

Clever Logo Designs
Sometimes a company or brand logo is more than it first appears. We take a look at the hidden meanings or messages embedded in popular logos. You won't look at these designs the same way again.

INSPIRATION #1
So on a lot of blogs, there are different kinds of posts. So far we have the CHALLENGE and the SKETCH POST, and now I am introducing the INSPIRATION post. Anybody can post any kind of blog, fyi.
So I am bringing the artwork of AARON NOBLE to the table. What he actually does is cut out bits of images from comic books, like legs and arms and explosions, and collages them into crazy ass free forms. I swear, just stare at his shit long enough and you will definitely be inspired somehow.
CHECK IT OUT.

SKETCHBATTLE CHALLENGE #1
So as of now, most people have posted on the blog, and it has been decided by a few of us that a weekly goal process would be beneficial, so that will be instituted for the first time this week. It should be a weekly process, but being that this is the first one, and not everyone has posted yet, two weeks instead might be better.
GOAL #1: HAVE FUN SKETCHING.
It probably sounds a bit mechanical to have "fun" as a goal, but its very important if you're going to be sketching a lot--you should enjoy it. Now the method to accomplish this goal is very vague, and most probably will not be the same for everyone. However, a few suggestions automatically come to mind:
+JOKE AROUND!- Sketch jokes! Sketch epic battles between tanks and jet planes 'n shit. Sketch somebody getting MCCLUSKY'D.
+DESIGN FOR A (FICTIONAL) CHARACTER- When I was at AAU, a few of the senior car designers told me about how in their sophomore year or so, they were given an assignment to design cars for fictional characters. One guy told me he designed a BAT MOBILE. Another guy told me he designed for 50 CENT. While this is funny, at the same time it is no less of a design challenge. What kind of needs does BATMAN have? His car probably moves very fast. How does it achieve that? With a JET THRUSTER?! Or is that technology not available, and so is the BAT MOBILE just REALLY AERODYNAMIC? 50 CENT probably wants a fat ass sound system and a jacuzzi in his car. So, as you can see, this gives you plenty of opportunity to mess around with sketching, and at the same time, has ample room for LOTS of OVERTHINKING (design thinking). This, I think is a very good method for playing with sketching and design in general.
SO HAVE FUN. If you are having trouble thinking of what to sketch, it has been suggested that you try to sketch sound systems--either HEADPHONES like what has already been done, or PORTABLE SPEAKER SYSTEMS. What kind of portable speakers would THAT GUY have? Probably really douchey ones.
So, for the last time, HAVE FUN. Please post within the next two weeks. People should provide crits (comment) for every post so that we can all progress.
Thank you for participating. If you have any suggestions or problems, discuss it in the Facebook thread.
